The smokey eye look is easy once you learn the right technique. Your tools are important, too. Check out this Jane Iredale video to learn how to pull off a smokey eye during the day, and amp it up for night.

The makeup artist in this video used:

Eye Shadow Triple

Silver Lining: A compact with the 3 colors that can help you achieve a perfect smokey eye look.

Apply the lightest silver shade over the entire lid with the Deluxe Shader Brush.

Apply the medium shade (Twilight Grey) to the outer 2/3 of the upper and lower lash line with the Eye Shader Brush.

Apply the darkest shade along the lash line to blend your eyeliner. This step is ideal for your nighttime look.

Lashes

Since smokey eyes are all about high drama, be sure that your lashes really stand out!

Lash Extender and Conditioner: This helps provide thickness to your lashes and will strengthen and thicken them over time! Apply under mascara.

Longest Lash Mascara: Not your typical mascara...it conditions lashes and contains thousands of cellulose fibers to give lashes a glamorous look. This tube actually contains 75% more mascara than the average tube.

Eye Liner

Eye Pencil in Black: This pencil helps to define the eyes to finish off your smokey look. It's simple to use and doesn't pull on the skin around the delicate eye area.
